Pibbles & More Animal Rescue, Inc.is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, all volunteer, animal rescue organization based in New York - www.pmarinc.org To reduce pet overpopulation, particularly pit bulls, through spay/neuter intervention. Educating the public about responsible pet ownership through adoption as opposed to purchase.Pibbles & More Animal Rescue was started with the belief that no animal should die unwanted. After seeing the abundance of Pit bulls in shelters we decided to try to do something about it.In the beginning it was a small crew who banded together to form Pibbles & More Animal Rescue. We pull and re-home dogs from death row in the NY ACC shelters as well as from the Northeastern states where we have fosters, and from NC, SC and Georgia gassing shelters. We all have the hope that one day we will be a no kill nation. Until then, we rescue as many dogs as we can, get them medical treatment and put them into foster homes until permanent homes can be found. We take in healthy dogs, mange dogs ,heart-worm positive dogs and dogs who have been abused or have broken bones and open wounds. When we are done, only the scars remain, and the beautiful animals underneath shine through. The potential is there, for dogs to get a second chance at life, to know what love feels like. This is what we strive for every day. To find responsible loving owners for the bullies of the world.

Meet Dixie

Meet Dixie!  Ever seen a dog wag her entire body with joy-from head to tail? That's Dixie! This sweet, playful, and energetic girl came to us from NYCACC and is now thriving in a loving foster home in Binghamton.  At about 8 months old, Dixie is crate trained and mostly house trained. She gets along well with other dogs and even cats, but would do best in a home with older children (12+), as she's still learning her manners and may be a bit too bouncy for the little ones.  Dixie is eager to learn, full of love, and ready to blossom into the amazing companion she's meant to be. She's fully vetted and ready for her forever home-please share to help Dixie find the family she deserves! ��ե   All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.   Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.   Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England.   Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada.   Visit www.pmarinc.org for more information, and to fill out an application.
