Joyful Rescues, Inc.

Since our humble beginnings in December 2002, Joyful Rescues has grown into a 501(c)3 non-profit corporate team of volunteer animal lovers reaching out to help homeless dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in need of love, affection and forever homes. We are a no-kill shelter – meaning we never euthanize for space. Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.

Meet Xena

Xena was born about December 13, 2023 and will likely top out in the 50-60 lb. range.  She surely appears to be a Shepherd mix, but mixed with what we can't say.  She was picked up by an officer after dark on a busy road in a nearby city just wandering around all by herself and efforts to locate an owner were for naught.  She seems to have been treated well in her puppy hood and became a favorite of the dog control officer right away.  She has done well in the car on the short rides she's been on and she adores the other dogs.  She is openly friendly to all humans she has met and likes to be close by.  She's a bit unsure of what to do on leash, but with her breed she should be a quick learner.  Considering the area in which she was found we would wonder if she was abandoned due to a rental situation gone badly.  Someone reading this is going to be very happy that Xena was picked up safe and sound and brought here to Joyful Rescues to find her forever family. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $_600.00__. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link "Special Instructions to Seller" if you want to note a particular pet
