Volunteers For Animals of Batavia, Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to caring for the animals in Genesee County including providing resources to assist animal care at the Genesee County Animal Shelter.Volunteers For Animals mission is to provide care, comfort and protection to companion animals in need in Genesee County, NY by engaging the hands, hearts and minds of our community. Meet Cookie

Cookie is an adult spayed female Pit Bull Terrier Mix. Cookie is a gem. She has patiently endured some time at the shelter, but has finally become eligible for adoption. She loves walks, and playing with her doggie friends and her human caretakers. A volunteer favorite, Cookie deserves the best. She is a 57 pound Pit Bull with a gentle and playful temperament. She is a very tidy girl who seems housebroken. She would love to find her forever home with someone who appreciates the love and energy she has to offer. To meet Cookie is to love her.  Cookie is currently at the Shelter - come meet this hidden gem before she gets away.

Adoption Process
There is a $60 NON-REFUNDABLE FEE for all animals which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered there is a $35 REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT upon proof of surgery. An adoption application must be filled out at the Shelter by the person wishing to adopt the animal. Once the application has been reviewed and approved the potential adopter may visit and meet any of the animals.
