Meet ARCHIE
Archie is our adorable, ever-smiling and happy, lovable goof ball Lab mix who is looking for that wonderful family to love and live a great life with. About a year ago this boy wondered up to a house in the country, where he sat on the front porch as if he had decided that this was his new home. He never left and so for 3 months the family looked for his owner. He was such a good dog, they just knew that someone was missing this affable and loving dog. Archie couldn’t be a better dog. He is great with people and enjoys going out on excursions to dog parks, outdoor events, sidewalk restaurant dining with his foster dad, or just hanging out and watching some good movies or sports on TV or helping to supervise the chores his human foster is doing around the house. Archie is great with other dogs, loves kids and loves to ride in the car. He is a young boy and not a silly puppy. He is 63 pounds and about 3 years old. We think he is a Lab, Pointer and who knows what else. We love his markings and his adorable freckled face. This boy dog loves to play with toys, make them squeak and also engage his human in a good rope tug of war. He is energetic and also has a chill button. A fenced yard would be of great advantage or living with active people who are out on long walks, jog, hikes or just being physically active. He is fabulous on a leash and he is housebroken. You couldn’t ask for a better companion honestly. He is really a dog that we find no fault with. Why he is not adopted yet is such a mystery. He did have one brief home that had to admit they just were not the active people that he needs. He is a vibrant dog with a bright personality that is contagious. He is not a Bassett Hound energy level. He is a Lab/Pointer mix that was built by God to be moving around every day at least for a while and THEN he can “couch chill” with someone.
