Buffalo CARES was started by 7 people who have worked together for years at various other rescues. We started this rescue because we wanted to make sure our rescue was run the right way. We saw a need for a rescue in the Buffalo, NY area that would help & rescue local dogs. The majority of our animals are local animals.

Meet Spike

Hi everyone, I'm Spike and I love to show off my skills! I love training and treats, and I will give you my full attention during trading sessions! I know basic commands and love to learn! Maybe some day my fur-ever family will let me try agility or trick classes. I bet I would even be good at those nose work classes I have heard about. I am also a very social out going guy! I LOVE going places and riding in the car. One of my favorite things to do with my humans is riding around and exploring new places! I am also a great coworker, napping on your arms while you work makes a great coworker, right? Did someone say POSE!!! I am also an amateur model, as you can see from my glamour shot.   Some of my other skills are less photogenic. I am crate trained and house trained! I get along well with other dogs and ignore the cat in the house. So you see, I am your all around GREAT guy!!  Do you want to add a little Spike to your life? Adoption Process
All adoptions require, reference checks, vet reference checks, home visits, meet & greets. From there we will determine if that applicant is right for the dog they are interested in. At the adoption, a contract will be signed and an adoption fee will be paid. Fee's are based on the specific dog. Puppies, adults, bully breeds or special needs.
