The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world. Our organization was founded by Henry Bergh in 1866 on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans, and must be protected under the law. Headquartered in New York City, the ASPCA maintains a strong local presence, and with programs that extend our anti-cruelty mission across the country, we are recognized as a national animal welfare organization. We are a privately funded 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, and proud to boast more than 1 million supporters across the country.

As the weather warms up, why not fall in love with our ray of sunshine, Gary? Gary would greet you with cute, excited wiggles, then melt into your arms when you pet him and rub his belly. Gary’s an ideal buddy when out and about with you. He walks wonderfully on a leash and can pass other dogs with ease! A fast and eager learner, Gary knows many commands already. He’d be quick to learn new tricks you might want to teach him, too. Gary would love quality time with you, but he can also happily entertain himself with toys, especially stuffed and chew toys! Come meet smart, happy-go-lucky Gary at the Adoption Center during walk-in hours (Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.), or click the “Adopt Me” button to learn more here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/1f309fcb-00f4-40b5-943f-ba03ecfdeee6   *The ASPCA Adoption Center encourages a $150 suggested adoption fee when adopting an animal.
