Meet Simon
Simon says he loves treats, people and his brother Roger. He is so happy to be heading to Connecticut to find his forever home and family. He is an 8-month-old German Shepherd mixed breed pup with one floppy ear and energy to spare.Simon and his brother Roger were strays who were lucky enough to be found by a veterinary practice that made sure they were healthy and ready for adoption. Currently weighing in at 40 pounds, it is estimated that Simon will be a medium-sized dog (31-60 pounds) when he is full-grown. Simon makes a great partner for fun and games and adventure with other people, dogs, and children. It is not known if Simon enjoys the company of cats.Simon is working at his house, leash and crate training. Incorporating yummy treats and lots of affection into each lesson will play to his own natural intelligence and eagerness to please his people. It is important to remember accidents can occur as a dog adjusts to a new home. If crate training is planned, Simon needs a crate that is big enough for him to turn around and lie down. Crates need to be warm welcoming places and must never be used for punishment. If you are the adventurous type, adopt Simon, lace up your shoes, grab a leash and head outside for exploration and exercise before coming home for snuggles and kisses from this happy go lucky fellow. The adoption fee for Simon is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
