Joyful Rescues, Inc.

Since our humble beginnings in December 2002, Joyful Rescues has grown into a 501(c)3 non-profit corporate team of volunteer animal lovers reaching out to help homeless dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in need of love, affection and forever homes. We are a no-kill shelter – meaning we never euthanize for space. Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.

Meet Luna Gonska

Luna was born around December 28, 2022 and might top out in the 60-pound range.  We are told that Luna was purchased as an English Cream Golden Retriever puppy for $5000 from Barking Boutique and we just can not understand how these places still exist.  When you shop instead of adopt you are contributing to the horrendous suffering of the parents that languish in puppy mills for most of their lives until they are slaughtered. We were also told that Luna was fully vetted but after several failed attempts to try and get that information, it seems that was a lie.   Luna was purchased for the kids and it turns out the kids were not much help so we were asked to find a more appropriate home for her. Luna has been an absolute joy to get to know.  We put her immediately into a foster home with other dogs and kitties and she loves them all!  Luna is doing excellent with house training (will sit &/or paw at the door when she needs to go out). She is being crate trained, quiet in her crate & will go into her crate with the command: “go to your house”.  Luna rides well in the car but needs some leash training as she pulls hard. She is the perfect mix of play & calm (very “chill” for a puppy). Luna is a “Velcro dog”, following her people everywhere.  She also constantly wags her tail, loves to play with her toys, smiles and makes everyone around her happy! Luna's foster parents can not say enough good things about her and neither can we!  The Adoption Fee for this dog is $750.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link "Special Instructions to Seller" if you want to note a particular pet
