Joyful Rescues, Inc.

Since our humble beginnings in December 2002, Joyful Rescues has grown into a 501(c)3 non-profit corporate team of volunteer animal lovers reaching out to help homeless dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in need of love, affection and forever homes. We are a no-kill shelter – meaning we never euthanize for space. Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.

Meet Dino

Dino was born about March 9, 2018 and weighs about 7 lbs.  He was an owner surrender at a regional humane society for unknown reasons.  Perhaps it was because his teeth were rotting out of his head and they could not afford a dental.  The rot extended to the lower front jaw which has completely disintegrated!!!!!  Not making this up, folks.  His dental resulted in only two teeth remaining as most fell out at the touch of the instrument and others were gently pulled due to instability.   The vet did suspect a mild luxating petella on his right hindleg and his medical records from the humane society indicate that his hair loss was due to alopecia (hair loss) but that is not the case as not many humans, including vets, have come in contact with Zolos or Mexica Hairless dogs.  We have had the pleasure over the years of knowing several and recognized right away because the hairless skin was healthy in appearance, smelled and felt like normal skin.  We were SO pleased as all the Zolos that have gone through our doors have been delightful.   The Adoption Fee for this dog is $_550.00_. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link "Special Instructions to Seller" if you want to note a particular pet
