Joyful Rescues, Inc.

Since our humble beginnings in December 2002, Joyful Rescues has grown into a 501(c)3 non-profit corporate team of volunteer animal lovers reaching out to help homeless dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in need of love, affection and forever homes. We are a no-kill shelter – meaning we never euthanize for space. Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.

Meet Zuggi

Zuggi was born about November 22, 2021 and weighs about 20 lbs.  This fun guy does appear to be mostly non-shedding and will need to see a groomer every 6-8 weeks so you will need to be prepared for this cost.  He is happy and friendly but has not met a child as far as is known.  I say that because it seems he had escaped his home a few times lately and was out and about so it is possible.  Zuggi is here because the last time he did escape out the door he was almost hit by a car and his very elderly, and loving, human decided it was best for Zuggi if she gave him up sooner rather than later.  He has not lived with another dog, but the moment he arrived he was having a blast with large and small alike.  Zuggi is house trained but had not been neutered until coming to us so he may mark his spot in new environments.  He did have a fenced yard in his past home.  Zuggi does were well on leash.  He has been on very few car rides but did well with just a bit of drool which could also been part due to nerves leaving his home - it was a two hour car ride.  Zuggi truly was very well loved and cared for and it was a very emotional, heartbreaking, loss for this lady.  We promised we'd make him very happy in his next adventure in life.  She did let us know that when he lifts up his paw he'd like to have his back scratched.  This guy is full of life and fun and is looking forward to a more active future.   The Adoption Fee for this dog is $_600.00_. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link "Special Instructions to Seller" if you want to note a particular pet
