Since our humble beginnings in December 2002, Joyful Rescues has grown into a 501(c)3 non-profit corporate team of volunteer animal lovers reaching out to help homeless dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in need of love, affection and forever homes. We are a no-kill shelter – meaning we never euthanize for space. Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.

Meet Jett

Jett and his siblings were born October 22, 2022 and are the babies of Joyful Rescues Remi and Luna.  The family were deemed homeless due to a divorce and neither human wanted them so the entire family traveled to western NY with one hour at a time drivers all the way from KY!  Thank you volunteer drivers!!!  Remi is said to be a Silver Lab and that seems to be the case.  Mom appears very Husky and German "Shepherdy" to us, but we are just guessing by her appearance and lovely personality.  The pups arrived at a couple weeks old and they've been raised by our very best puppy foster mom ever Jeanne.  If you go to Joyful Rescues facebook page the pups have been featured in a "Pup Date" every Thursday evening since they arrived.  It's been SO amazing watching them mature into little dogs and Jeanne has exposed them to so many things and has nourished their body and souls.  These boys are probably going to top out in the 75 lb. range, maybe a little larger - Remi is a good size guy that is over 80 lbs.  The Adoption Fee for this dog is $700.00. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list.
