Introducing Baby Bella! At just 16 weeks old, this Jack Russell mix is as sweet as can be. Her foster family affectionately calls her "Bella Bella Bella" when she gets a bit too excited, but you can just call her Bella. She's still learning the ropes and sometimes gets carried away with her exuberance! Bella can be a bundle of energy, always eager to play and have fun. She adores her circle bed, where she hides all her favorite toys, though she hasn't quite figured out how to fit shoes into the crevices yet! Bella's love for food knows no bounds, and her excitement is palpable as her whole-body wiggles with joy at mealtime. Despite her small size, Bella loves to play with her foster family's dogs, even if she thinks they should eat a bit more to keep up with her growth! After a day of play and feasting, Bella's favorite thing is to snuggle up close for a nap, her soft ears and belly begging for attention. She's a social butterfly who thrives on love and attention, enjoying every moment spent with her foster family and their kids. Bella is already started learning important skills like potty training trying to ring the bell by the door and sitting for treats, and she's eager to continue her adventures with a loving family who will provide her with treats and support. With Bella by your side, every day is bound to be filled with fun and cuddles! #willworkfortreats. As a puppy Bella would certainly benefit from continued training and a puppy skills class. Being just a puppy she has so much to learn! She'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs - and especially puppies - attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and his/her human family. It’s lots of fun, too! A well-mannered, obedient dog will be welcomed most anywhere you take her. Though a fenced yard is an ideal place for your puppy to romp and play safely, if that’s not an option then lots of daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park is the next best thing. A tired dog is a good dog! Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation – think puzzle toys and games. Puppies are a lot of work and require a strong commitment to teaching them obedience, socializing them with other dogs and people, playing with them and loving them to pieces. It takes a lot of time, energy and patience to bring up a puppy - and it’s totally worth it! If you're ready to make that awesome commitment to bring up PUPPY, then fill out an application today! Sweet puppy kisses and warm furry snuggles may soon come your way! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/ **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
