City of Las Vegas Animal Care Center

We are a municipal animal shelter for the City of Las Vegas. We contract with our county to provide animal services. We are a small shelter and are constantly full and trying to rehome as many friendly, happy, adoptable dogs as we can. We have not had to euthanize for space but our numbers are making it difficult to keep on. Our staff are dedicated and caring.

Meet Mabel

Hello, sunshine seekers! Allow me to introduce Mabel, the sweet and slightly spooky shepherd mix who's ready to bring a whole lot of love and laughter into your life! This 11-month-old black and tan beauty weighs around 35 pounds and is just waiting to blossom into the confident, playful pup she was always meant to be. Mabel is still a bit scared of the world, but she's slowly but surely coming out of her shell. She's beginning to embrace her playful side and absolutely adores attention! Leash manners are a work in progress, but she's a smart girl who's eager to learn. And, like her namesake Mabel Pines, she believes that "reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold, bye!" So why not invest in a little gold—in the form of Mabel's golden heart? Mabel came in with her brother Dipper, but now she's ready to find her own forever home where she can shine. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a touch of mystery and a whole lot of love to give, Mabel is your girl! She's just waiting for someone to give her a chance to show you how amazing she can be.
