The Dude abides! This delightful 3-year-old dog is looking for his forever home after his owner passed away. Weighing just under 60 pounds, this charming boy is a pit bull mix, but shelter volunteers say they see St. Bernard in his big handsome head! Whatever his breed, Dude has a heart of gold. While he may be a bit shy at first, Dude quickly relaxes and shows his sweet nature once he feels comfortable.Dude is easy on the leash and enjoys his time outside of the kennel. Heâs friendly with other friendly dogs, but we always recommend a pre-adoption meet & greet with any dogs you already have.In the play yard Dude is curious and playful, running around, sniffing, and checking out his surroundings. He loves affection, often leaning into your legs for some booty scratches and showing his gentle side as he prances over for petting.Often, dogs who come to the shelter because their owner died are seniors themselves.
