City of Las Vegas Animal Care Center

We are a municipal animal shelter for the City of Las Vegas. We contract with our county to provide animal services. We are a small shelter and are constantly full and trying to rehome as many friendly, happy, adoptable dogs as we can. We have not had to euthanize for space but our numbers are making it difficult to keep on. Our staff are dedicated and caring.

Ever dream of giving a second chance to a sweet soul in need? Meet Shay. This little girl, likely a mini Aussie mix, was found wandering alone in our local wildlife refuge, a place of beauty but harsh when you're all by yourself. At just 18 lbs, she's got room to grow, especially with the love and care she deserves. Shay is understandably shy at first, but beneath that timid exterior lies a heart of gold waiting to shine. She's still learning the ropes of leash walking, but she's eager to please and ready to learn. Could you open your heart and home to Shay, and watch her transform into the confident, loving companion she was always meant to be?
