Meet Mia
Mia was rescued from Dulce NM with seven 10-day old pups in tow. She had been a free-roaming dog and was frightened but very sweet even with the little ones, who she was careful with but allowed to be handled. The pups are now weaned and gone, but Mia still needs a home of her own. She has a very sweet disposition but is still unused to many of the things that come with living around people. For example, she is not used to being inside and it may take some time to get her used to being shut inside a house (housebreaking will likely NOT be a problem as long as she is given lots of outside breaks -- she tends to go in the same place in a kennel). She is also unused to leashes and tends to lie down and not move readily when leashed. Mia would be a great outside dog with some good shelter and a large fenced area. She does well with other dogs once she is properly introduced and feels safe. She is spayed and up-to-date with vaccinations. This sweet dog really deserves a home where she can blossom and become the dog she was meant to be.
