Meet Wilbur

Fostering in Gloucester Massachusetts  Wilbur  6 months Male UTD on age appropriate vaccinations including Rabies.  On heartworm prevention  Micro chipped  White, Black ticks / Double Mask Approximately 22lbs Cattle Dog Mix 1 of 3 litter mates  Unfortunately since these pups were dumped on a farm in Kentucky, there is no history on Mom and Dad. We can only speculate that Mom was a blue heeler and Dad??? Why is this handsome guy still with me?? He's awesome!  What can I say about Wilbur! He's gorgeous and look at those eyes! Wilbur isn't petite and danty by any means and his personality is bigger than his little body. Wilbur would love a home with little humans. He is wonderful with my grandchildren. How exciting to be with a loving family for his first snow fall, and his first Holidays.  Wilbur is on the mellower side for a cattle dog, seems like an old soul. But don't let that fool you, he still has a high prey drive and needs plenty of exercise. Wilbur would be the perfect hiking buddy, he's walks well on lease and is learning basic commands. He wants nothing more than to be with his person/people at all times, even just cuddling up on the couch watching a movie.  Wilbur is very good in the car and we've been out to pet friendly businesses for more socialization.  Wilbur is very good about going #2 outside, we are still working on the peeing. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night with no issues. Wilbur is very food and toy motivated. Wilbur was temp fostered in KY where he spent time with young children, other dogs and a kitty, he was very respectful of kitty. Wilbur is already showing his Cattle dog instincts, stalking his litter mates!  Wilbur is fostering with 3 adult dogs and his litter mates.  Wilbur will need an active family with lots of time to dedicate to him and his training.  Potential adopters should have experience and/or knowledge of the breed. Willingness to hire a professional, ethical trainer if needed. Wilbur will need lots of exercise and room to run.
