Kizzy's Place Inc

Kizzy's Place began in September of 2015 when a cat from the South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter named "Skidz" caught the eye of our founders. This poor kitty had been hit by a car and had unknown injuries on top of suffering from an upper respiratory infection and was going to be euthanized if rescue didn't step up. With no rescues able to help him we decided to do it ourselves. With an offer to donate towards care, an offer to foster, and an offer to transport to the vet for much-needed medical care we were able to save this boy's life. He was renamed Kizzy and lived with founder and Director, Blake Martin until his unfortunate passing in the fall of 2019. He is the catalyst for everything we've done and we honor his legacy by how we save going forward.Since our humble beginnings, we've been able to save over 1,000 animals in the South Jersey and Philadelphia area since 2015. As a small foster-based rescue this number is staggering and something we are truly proud of. Our focus is the sick, scared, injured, and forgotten animals. This philosophy has led to some referring to us as "The Island of Misfit Cats," a nickname we proudly accept. Our goal is simple. Provide care for these forgotten animals and when they are ready find their happy ending. We are exclusively volunteer-run and donor funded and are so thankful for all of the people who have contributed towards our mission and to those who have opened their homes to some of our wonderful animals. Kizzy's Place is a place for friends.

Meet Buster

Buster is an eight year old Pitbull mix. He is presently with a foster and has done very well in a home environment. He seems to accept and obey house rules. Buster is a happy dog and loves best being on a couch with his special person. He does not like walks on a leash and prefers going out in a fenced in yard. A fenced in yard is a must. He does enjoy truck rides. He would be perfect for a man or a strong woman who just wants a buddy to watch television with. He would not be good with children or other dogs. He needs to be an only child so he can get the individual attention he deserves. When he came to the foster he was very thin but now he is approximately 68 Lbs. Buster is looking for that forever home that he can settle down in and live out his years. Please give Buster that chance. He is up to date on all shots.
