Meet Baba
Sweet older lady, Baba, loves to relax, take strolls through the neighborhood, and sniff out treats in her snuffle mat. Baba's nose is always hard at work, investigating any intriguing smells in the environment, which seems to be quite a soothing activity for her. She’s very quiet, gentle and lovable, making her the perfect companion for anyone really, though we do think she’d appreciate a calmer household. She can be apprehensive when meeting new people, and introductions should be slow and mindful in order to keep her feeling comfortable. Baba enjoys a life of leisure - while she loves getting outside, she much prefers to wander about than to clock any real mileage on her walks. Baba is housebroken, and doesn't pull too much on leash (unless there is an exciting smell). She's not a huge fan of her crate, but is a well mannered lady when left by herself free roaming. Baba was recently started on a special diet to help manage her kidney disease, an adopter should continue to monitor her with a full service vet, but she seems comfortable for now and does not need any specific care at this time. Baba also had a benign skin tag removed, and an inguinal hernia repaired a few weeks ago, which are unlikely to need future treatment, but an adopter should monitor for reoccurrence with their vet. Baba's fosters have expressed that she's quite a low-maintenance girl to care for day to day. While she doesn't have much experience with other animals that we know of, we think she could live with respectful dogs or cats, with a slow intro and plenty of space to separate when needed. She is a real sweetheart who has a heart of gold, and just needs the right home to help her come out of her shell. Age: 9 Years Old How I came to PAWS: Found Stray Animal ID#: 53669 Weight: 55lbs Mixed breed (It’s impossible to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess.
