Burlington County Animal Alliance

Burlington County Animal Alliance is a private, independent, 501(3)(c) nonprofit animal advocacy group, that was founded in 1999 by Lorraine Schrieber and Barb Giano who have a love for animals. To date, we have around 60 members of BCAA. We focus primarily on rescue and adoption of shelter dogs and cats in high kill shelters and surrounding areas in New Jersey. Our main focus is to make the public aware of the numbers of homeless dogs and cats there are in shelters and to promote adoption of these animals. We advocate spaying and neutering of all companion animals to counteract the overpopulation of dogs and cats and to end the tragedy of euthanizing healthy, unwanted companion pets.

Olive Oyl and Swee Pea are two adorable red heeler (Australian cattle dog) mix sisters with big personalities and even bigger hearts. At just 8–9 weeks old and around 9 pounds each, they’re already proving how smart they are—these two caught onto their foster home’s routine in just two days! Both puppies are playful, energetic, and full of that classic cattle dog spunk—but as soon as you sit down, they’re ready to climb into your lap for cuddles. They’re true snuggle bugs who love being close to their people.Rescued from a high-kill shelter, Swee Pea and Olive Oyl are now thriving and ready for their forever homes—individually. They do great with other dogs and would love active families who understand the needs of their intelligent, working-breed background.
