Burlington County Animal Alliance

Burlington County Animal Alliance is a private, independent, 501(3)(c) nonprofit animal advocacy group, that was founded in 1999 by Lorraine Schrieber and Barb Giano who have a love for animals. To date, we have around 60 members of BCAA. We focus primarily on rescue and adoption of shelter dogs and cats in high kill shelters and surrounding areas in New Jersey. Our main focus is to make the public aware of the numbers of homeless dogs and cats there are in shelters and to promote adoption of these animals. We advocate spaying and neutering of all companion animals to counteract the overpopulation of dogs and cats and to end the tragedy of euthanizing healthy, unwanted companion pets.

Meet Boo Boo

Boo Boo is a 6-month-old, 20-lb cutie with the most adorable forehead wrinkles and expressions you’ve ever seen. This happy, affectionate boy is grateful every single day for his rescue and is a quick learner who aims to please.Boo Boo is a gentle, snuggly goofball who reads the room and matches the vibe—whether that’s a backyard play session or a couch-cuddle marathon. His energy is medium-low: he’s always ready for fun but just as happy to curl up in a tiny ball next to you (and yes, he snores a little). He loves other dogs and currently lives with a 50-lb lab mix, always eager to play—even trying to win over the household’s grumpy senior pup. Boo Boo is also fantastic with children of all ages, greeting every kid with tail wags and cuddles. Because he believes cats should be playmates, a cat-free home would be best. This smart boy already has great manners. He is crate trained, happily “kennels” for treats, and sleeps quietly through the night. He’s housebroken under supervision, walks nicely on a leash, knows “sit,” comes when called, and rides quietly in the car when safely crated.Boo Boo thrives with people who love to snuggle and include their dog in daily life. He’d adore a friendly canine sibling—preferably a confident medium-to-large dog who enjoys play. A house with a yard or a townhome with regular walks and dog-park visits would make him perfectly happy. He’s irresistibly cute, incredibly smart, and wonderfully affectionate. Boo Boo is a joyful little soul who will reward his forever family with endless cuddles, silly toy antics, and heart-melting eye contact. Ready for love, laughter, and the world’s best forehead wrinkles? Boo Boo can’t wait to meet you! Apply at bcaaofnj.org
