Meet Allie

Location: Langhorne, PA. Friendly, playful, happy, gentle, adoring, smart, and sweet. Just a few words that describe beautiful Allie. She is a precious 1-2 year old ACD/Sheltie mix who was abandoned on a Kentucky highway. She was brought into rescue, spayed, and vaccinated before heading to her foster home near Philadelphia. Allie is living with 4 other dogs in foster care and gets along with all of them. She enjoys playing with the other dogs and chasing them when they play fetch. She loves to chew on bones, yak cheese, and antlers, and she loves to get her teeth on squeaky toys. With people, Allie can be a little bit shy at first but, once sure of you, she is warm and loving. While she looks like a mix, she is 110% herder! She will gently nip you along as you walk through the house. Because of this we prefer a home with no small children. She may be a candidate to do real herding work on a farm. She is active and super smart so having a job to do would be a big bonus. Allie is not the kind of dog who can stay home alone while her people go to work 8 hours a day. She is too active to be crated that long and she will get into trouble if left to her own devices. Allie is an absolute gem of a dog. She weighs 26 lbs. She is up to date on shots. She is a healthy eater and doesn’t appear to have any problems with food or environmental allergies. She is being fostered in Langhorne, PA, about 40 minutes north of Philadelphia. For questions, please contact [email protected]. Complete an Application: https://www.acdra.org/adoption-application
