Meet Ellie

Meet Ellie! This 5-month old long and lanky lady came to us from local animal control after her owner could no longer care for her. Ellie Bellie is the cutest puppy around (for real!) and can’t wait to settle into her forever family. With her yoda-like ears and freckled nose, she turns heads wherever she goes. And her thigh-high socks are the BEST! Sweet Ellie wasn’t treated very nicely in her last home and is a shy gal who needs just a little extra time to come around. She is crate-trained and potty-trained and has been thriving with patience and consistency in her foster home. Her perfect home? An adult-only home with lots of love, where El-a-potamus-rex can continue to develop into the wonderful dog she is destined to be. And she can’t wait to be adored by her forever family! Due to her shyness and lack of history, older or no kids would be best for Ellie, Mistress of the Bark.   Ellie’s top 3 priorities: 1. A family who is patient and will let Ellie come around at her own speed, especially in new situations.  2. A family who wants an affectionate, sweet, and shy dog all rolled into one amazing package! 3. A family who is consistent and can show Ellie that after a rough start, the best was always yet to come.

Adoption Process
Adoptions Crops and Flops Rescue, Inc. prides ourselves on spending extra time with our thorough adoption process to make sure our pups and their forever families are set up for a lifetime of happiness. Being a foster-home based rescue means we understand our dogs’ personalities in a home setting and what type of environment would set them up for success. We go the extra mile with our adoption process to understand our adopters’ households to make a match made in heaven. While we understand that looks can be important, we focus our efforts on finding a match based on household, lifestyle, and temperament for the best chance of a happily-ever-after. Our dog adoption specialists are invested in our adopters and are volunteering their time to help make a great forever match. Adoption Process Our adoption process consists of the following: • Complete an Application • Reference Checks: Both veterinary and personal references are required • Phone Interview: Typically lasts 20-30 minutes with one of our knowledgeable dog adoption specialists for us to understand our adopters household • Home Visit: Our home checks are conducted both virtually and in person, include verification of home ownership, and usually take around 30 minutes to complete • Dog Meet: Adopters will be guided to meeting a dog that would be a good match – all resident family members are required to be present • Next Steps: Subsequent steps are determined at initial dog meet, especially when you have a resident dog • Adoption: We ask our adopters to wait 24-hours before scheduling an adoption to make sure all family members are committed – if all agree, we schedule the adoption as soon as volunteer schedules will allow Adoption Donations All Crops and Flops Rescue, Inc. dogs come spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines and monthly preventatives, have received fecal testing and 4DX testing for tick-borne illnesses, and are sent home with an extra 2 month supply of heartworm preventatives. Adoption donations are as follows: • Whippersnapper Puppies (up to 11 months) $500 • Adult House Hippos (1 year – 7 years) $400 • Senior Pitizens (8 years+) $300
