He loves belly rubs, pets, and just being part of the action in a calm and predictable home.Bentley does well with other dogs but may appreciate a little space when it comes to sharing his immediate surroundings. Because he’s shown interest in small animals outside, a home with dog-savvy cats would likely be the best fit. Bentley should live in a home with older children who understand how to respect a dog’s space and can give him time to feel comfortable. He’s fully house trained and has done great being left home alone for extended periods without issue. While he’s not currently crate trained, he settles down easily when left alone and will nap the day away. Bentley knows his name and responds well to basic commands like "sit" and "down." With his love of food and calm temperament, he’s a great candidate for continued training. He can be a little hesitant in new situations and benefits from consistency and patience, but with the right support, he builds trust and settles in beautifully.*Bentley is part of our Medical Foster-to-Adopt Program as he is on a daily medication. If you're interested in learning more, we will connect you with our Medical Team to explain the process! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted.
