Meet Turtle

Meet Turtle! This 1-year old brindle and beautiful French Bulldog came to us from local animal control after being found as a stray. You know rescue is a total dumpster fire when there are young, healthy Frenchies roaming the streets as strays in Massachusetts.  Turtle is a bat-eared beauty and is French Bulldog to the core…with his pint-sized 26 lb body, wrinkled face, and big bug eyes. Like an actual turtle, this tiny treasure awkwardly has no neck and is slow moving. Does he have ageless wisdom and maturity? Ummm, nope. But he is super adorable with his Cinnabon tail and baby-like features and loves to be part of the (lazy) action. This compact gentleman is a charmer! He's affectionate, social, and loves exploring at a leisurely pace. His hobbies include hours of play bowing to a cat who ignores him and sniffing to his heart’s content. Turtle can be a bit shy and would love a meaningful connection with his humans to bring him out of his shell. He snorts when excited in a completely irresistible manner and is looking to capture the hearts of a forever family. Turtle is currently living in a foster home with dogs and cats and doing great. Because of lack of history, older or no kids would be best for sweet Turtle. Turtle’s top 3 priorities: 1. A loving family with gentle hands and kind hearts who will let Turtle settle in at his own pace. 2. A family who has Frenchie experience and loves all the quirks associated with their obvious cuteness. 3. A family who is aware of the potential medical costs associated with bulldogs of any type and is willing to care for Turtle for all of his days. Pet insurance is highly recommended.

Adoption Process
Adoptions Crops and Flops Rescue, Inc. prides ourselves on spending extra time with our thorough adoption process to make sure our pups and their forever families are set up for a lifetime of happiness. Being a foster-home based rescue means we understand our dogs’ personalities in a home setting and what type of environment would set them up for success. We go the extra mile with our adoption process to understand our adopters’ households to make a match made in heaven. While we understand that looks can be important, we focus our efforts on finding a match based on household, lifestyle, and temperament for the best chance of a happily-ever-after. Our dog adoption specialists are invested in our adopters and are volunteering their time to help make a great forever match. Adoption Process Our adoption process consists of the following: • Complete an Application • Reference Checks: Both veterinary and personal references are required • Phone Interview: Typically lasts 20-30 minutes with one of our knowledgeable dog adoption specialists for us to understand our adopters household • Home Visit: Our home checks are conducted both virtually and in person, include verification of home ownership, and usually take around 30 minutes to complete • Dog Meet: Adopters will be guided to meeting a dog that would be a good match – all resident family members are required to be present • Next Steps: Subsequent steps are determined at initial dog meet, especially when you have a resident dog • Adoption: We ask our adopters to wait 24-hours before scheduling an adoption to make sure all family members are committed – if all agree, we schedule the adoption as soon as volunteer schedules will allow Adoption Donations All Crops and Flops Rescue, Inc. dogs come spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines and monthly preventatives, have received fecal testing and 4DX testing for tick-borne illnesses, and are sent home with an extra 2 month supply of heartworm preventatives.
