Meet Arthur P. Wigglesworth (the first)! This 5-year old soft and distinguished gentleman came to us from our friends at a local animal control after being found as a stray. And he is, in a word, impressive! In fact, we think the "P" stands for “perfect”! Arthur, or Artie for short, is a "plug and play" kind of pup – an instantly easy and great dog. Seriously…dog and cat friendly, with a gentle nature, he is all that and a bag of chips. This ginger snap is looking for a home where he can settle into a routine and love every living soul around him, 2-legged and 4-legged alike. He is AMAZING! This red and white stunner has a hematoma from a previous ear infection left untreated, so we can assume he may have an allergy component, which his fosters are working diligently to explore. But he is focused on living his best life settling into a home and being thankful for being out of the kennel (his foster canine and felines agree!). Due to Artie’s size and lack of history, older kids would be best for this easy-going pup. Arthur’s top priorities: 1. An amazing family who wants an equally amazing dog. Seriously, amazing. Really and truly, amazing. 2. Humans who love to snuggle and are fluent in the language of L.O.V.E. 3. A family who will continue to work on Artie’s allergies to let him live his best life in comfort.
Adoption Process
Adoptions
Crops and Flops Rescue, Inc. prides ourselves on spending extra time with our thorough adoption process to make sure our pups and their forever families are set up for a lifetime of happiness. Being a foster-home based rescue means we understand our dogsâ personalities in a home setting and what type of environment would set them up for success. We go the extra mile with our adoption process to understand our adoptersâ households to make a match made in heaven. While we understand that looks can be important, we focus our efforts on finding a match based on household, lifestyle, and temperament for the best chance of a happily-ever-after. Our dog adoption specialists are invested in our adopters and are volunteering their time to help make a great forever match.
Adoption Process
Our adoption process consists of the following:
⢠Complete an Application
⢠Reference Checks: Both veterinary and personal references are required
⢠Phone Interview: Typically lasts 20-30 minutes with one of our knowledgeable dog adoption specialists for us to understand our adopters household
⢠Home Visit: Our home checks are conducted both virtually and in person, include verification of home ownership, and usually take around 30 minutes to complete
⢠Dog Meet: Adopters will be guided to meeting a dog that would be a good match â all resident family members are required to be present
⢠Next Steps: Subsequent steps are determined at initial dog meet, especially when you have a resident dog
⢠Adoption: We ask our adopters to wait 24-hours before scheduling an adoption to make sure all family members are committed â if all agree, we schedule the adoption as soon as volunteer schedules will allow
