Meet Leia

Leia and her brother Luke are so happy they even smile! Leia is a playful, ~4 year old purebred longhaired Siberian husky and was rescued from a high-kill Southern California shelter. She is fully vetted, spayed/neutered, house trained, dog door trained, non-destructive, and know basic commands and some tricks. She loves car rides, dogs of all sizes, dog park, walks, all people, and being brushed. Leia loves water and will play in sprinklers and pools all summer long, and has even swam in chilly high Sierra lakes. As a husky, she should be on leash in most environments but occasionally deep in the woods the has enjoyed some off leash times to go swimming. She is very adventurous and even loves going into stores, to the groomers, and to the vet. Leia does well with other dogs. Her brother Luke is very bonded her and would do best if they got to stay together. As long haired huskies they need to be regularly brushed or professionally groomed. Leia is great at the groomers and enjoys the blow drier the most. So much they will ask to be blow dried with yard blowers and vacuumed if you are cleaning up around the house. If you are interested, please fill out an application at www.tahoewarf.org and text 7753386631 or 7758463773.
