Meet Arthur
Welcome to the Round Table of Puppy Adoption! It is I: Arthur! Do you have a Chivalry of Knights that are ready for another to join their crusade in life?! If so, before we commit to this adventure, there are some things you should know about me as a fellow. I do not take kindly to laziness and lying around, apart from my crate and a human’s lap. I need to be moving, doing something. Usually, that something is playing. I’m also vocal, trained in the art of speaking. I’m also skilled in the ways of sitting, waiting, and laying down. On top of that, I’m house-trained; however, like a lot of heroic knights in history, I do like to make it known where my kingdom lies with strategic markings from time-to-time. During our quest, you should know that I have very strong first opinions when it comes to identifying friend and foe. I can sense them immediately! Friends: large humans and fellow canines my size. Foes: cats and canines that are (literally, in size) beneath me. One thing I haven’t been trained on yet is to not mouth, or lightly gnaw, on things. I don’t leave teeth marks and have definitely not injured anyone, but I, and experts of the land, are undecided on if children are friend or foe. For safety purposes, we shall consider them foe. My trek is young but I am looking forward to adding the perfect amount of sweetness, adorableness, and bravery to an Order of Knights! If I can be that hero, maybe even some day that King (wink wink), please complete an application for me, Arthur!
Adoption Process
Our Adoption Process
After you submit your adoption application, via our website, http://TaysiaBlue.com, a Taysia Blue volunteer will
contact you within 2-3 days. We are most interested in which type dog will
be a good fit for you and your family and the other pets in your home.
We will also contact you by phone to learn
more about the dog you're looking for and to review the current available
dogs in our rescue.
We will schedule an appointment for you to meet the dog(s). If a match is made,
we can complete the adoption process at that time. If we don't find the
perfect match, we'll keep trying till we do!
We hope that your home is the very last stop on the dog's journey and we do
all we can to help you and your dog make the transition easier, including
providing you with an information packet loaded with tips and resources.
Our quality standard vet care is as follows:
• Spay/Neuter - All dogs will be spayed or neutered prior to being
adopted.
• Heartworm Test - If the heartworm test is negative, the dog is placed on
regular heartworm preventative. If the heartworm test is positive, the dog
is treated to eradicate the heartworms and then placed on regular heartworm
preventative.
• Rabies vaccination
• DHP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo) vaccination
• Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccination
• Flea and tick preventative
• Microchip
Our adoption donation requirements are as follows:
• Puppies 6 months of age or younger require a donation of $350.
• Dogs over 6 months and under 8 years old require a donation of $300.
• Dogs 8 years and older require a donation of $250.
