I am a happy boy! I love being loved! I came to DDR from a breeding facility. I am just learning to live in a home setting, working on house training and home manners. I do require a fenced yard as I haven't learned to wear a harness or walk on a leash. I don't understand boundaries or the danger of roads and cars. Do you have a big heart and an open spot in your home for an adorable boy like me? I am 1 1/2 yrs old, I weigh 15 pounds, my adoption fee is $600 plus sales tax $27 = $627

Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
