I asked AI how to identify a Finch ... AI said "Look for their physical characteristics like a notched or forked tail, pointed wings, and a rounded body. They typically have triangular bills, which vary by species, and come in various colors." AI got it all wrong! I'm Finch and I will tell you everything you want to know about me. Always believe the dog. First of all, I have a big fluffy white-tipped tail, no wings, and a petite little body. Instead of a bill, I have a white muzzle and a burgundy nose. Additionally, I am red and white with creamy highlights and the most beautiful eyes - one brown and one blue! And now for the most important detail about me ... I'M A PETITE MINI HUSKY! I'm a cute and sweet little snuggle bug who LOVES kids and LOVES to give kisses. I am settling in to my foster home and have not had a single accident, so it's safe to say I'm potty trained! I have also done great in my kennel overnight with only a tiny whine and then I'm quiet until morning. I love toys and I'll chew on things if you forget to give me some. I really love to steal shoes but the people here swap them out for toys and I'm quickly catching on to what I'm allowed to play with. I've been great with the dogs here. I really want to play with the dog they lovingly call "the bratty one" ... when she growls at me I just jump back and show my belly! I have also been friendly with the cats I've met! I'm the perfect blend of energetic and playful but also happy to settle down and snuggle. A little bird told me I sound like just the dog you've been wanting to adopt! Fill out an application and mention me, Finch!
Adoption Process
Our Adoption Process
After you submit your adoption application, via our website, http://TaysiaBlue.com, a Taysia Blue volunteer will
contact you within 2-3 days. We are most interested in which type dog will
be a good fit for you and your family and the other pets in your home.
We will also contact you by phone to learn
more about the dog you're looking for and to review the current available
dogs in our rescue.
We will schedule an appointment for you to meet the dog(s). If a match is made,
we can complete the adoption process at that time. If we don't find the
perfect match, we'll keep trying till we do!
We hope that your home is the very last stop on the dog's journey and we do
all we can to help you and your dog make the transition easier, including
providing you with an information packet loaded with tips and resources.
Our quality standard vet care is as follows:
• Spay/Neuter - All dogs will be spayed or neutered prior to being
adopted.
• Heartworm Test - If the heartworm test is negative, the dog is placed on
regular heartworm preventative. If the heartworm test is positive, the dog
is treated to eradicate the heartworms and then placed on regular heartworm
preventative.
• Rabies vaccination
• DHP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo) vaccination
• Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccination
• Flea and tick preventative
• Microchip
Our adoption donation requirements are as follows:
