Pert and her litter mate were born outside to a Cattle Dog mom; she and her brother Reese were trapped and brought into rescue. Initially, she was understandably timid around people. However, she has come to know and love cuddles and family life, does great at events, and she is the cutest girl. Pert is an adorable and affectionate girl who loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home. One of her favorite activities is playing outside with the other dogs, and helping foster mom in the backyard, while watching the squirrels and birds. Pert really enjoys sleeping on her foster mom's lap and having a good cuddle. Pert is potty trained and crate trained. She likes to keep all of her toys and beds inside an exercise pen. Pert can still be a bit shy and initially warms up faster to people who are calm, patient, and relatively quiet. She's an adorable girl who loves to play and follow her person everywhere! She would do best in a home with another dog to teach her the ropes. Pert's adoption fee is $325, all of which goes back into offsetting our high-cost vetting expenses and rescuing more dogs. We are a 100% volunteer-run rescue group and rely on adoption fees and donations to continue saving lives. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, fecal, deworming, flea/tick and heartworm preventative, heartworm tested if old enough (and treated if positive), and microchipped. Please visit http://heartlandgsrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/adoption for more information about our adoption process and requirements, and to apply.
