Taysia Blue Siberian Husky Rescue
Taysia Blue Siberian Husky Rescue in Nebraska is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our all volunteer mission is to keep Huskies and Malamutes out of shelters where they are at risk of being killed due to overcrowding. Siberian Huskies are beautiful. It's hard not to fall in love with their fluffy coats and gorgeous eyes, it's hard not to laugh at their antics and marvel at their independent intelligence. But with the fur comes the shedding, with the antics comes possible destruction and with the independence and intelligence comes a rather nomadic Houdini of a dog that wants to escape and run for the fun of it. Often these dogs are adopted by people who are not prepared for the very traits they were attracted to. Some husky owners are not prepared for the amount of energy these dogs have and the exercise they require. They are intelligent, but often easily bored and not easy to train, they can be stubborn and mischievous. Please research this breed carefully before you choose to adopt a Siberian husky.

Welcome to the Round Table of Puppy Adoption! It is I: Arthur! Do you have a Chivalry of Knights that are ready for another to join their crusade in life?! If so, before we commit to this adventure, there are some things you should know about me as a fellow. I do not take kindly to laziness and lying around, apart from my crate and a human’s lap. I need to be moving, doing something. Usually, that something is playing. I’m also vocal, trained in the art of speaking. I’m also skilled in the ways of sitting, waiting, and laying down. On top of that, I’m house-trained; however, like a lot of heroic knights in history, I do like to make it known where my kingdom lies with strategic markings from time-to-time. During our quest, you should know that I have very strong first opinions when it comes to identifying friend and foe. I can sense them immediately! Friends: large humans and fellow canines my size. Foes: cats and canines that are (literally, in size) beneath me. One thing I haven’t been trained on yet is to not mouth, or lightly gnaw, on things. I don’t leave teeth marks and have definitely not injured anyone, but I, and experts of the land, are undecided on if children are friend or foe. For safety purposes, we shall consider them foe. My trek is young but I am looking forward to adding the perfect amount of sweetness, adorableness, and bravery to an Order of Knights! If I can be that hero, maybe even some day that King (wink wink), please complete an application for me, Arthur!
Our Adoption Process After you submit your adoption application, via our website, http://TaysiaBlue.com, a Taysia Blue volunteer will contact you within 2-3 days. We are most interested in which type dog will be a good fit for you and your family and the other pets in your home. We will also contact you by phone to learn more about the dog you're looking for and to review the current available dogs in our rescue. We will schedule an appointment for you to meet the dog(s). If a match is made, we can complete the adoption process at that time. If we don't find the perfect match, we'll keep trying till we do! We hope that your home is the very last stop on the dog's journey and we do all we can to help you and your dog make the transition easier, including providing you with an information packet loaded with tips and resources.
