The Animal Rescue Alliance

A non-profit 501C3, all volunteer group dedicated to helping homeless pets in the Greater Kansas City area. Our organization is the result of an alliance between several rescuers in the Kansas City region who share the same goal of ending animal suffering and homelessness.In addition to rescuing pets from difficult situations, we offer courtesy listings in Pet Finder, facilitate low-cost spays and neuterings, work on transfers and transports with existing rescue groups, help individuals and organizations promote, screen and educate potential adopters, fund raise to help pets with special needs, offer guidance and information about animal rescue, organize events, etc.

Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.    Charley is the most perfect gentleman - he is 100% potty trained and does great in his kennel. He loves loves loves all things- dogs, cats, kids, people! He just wants to be happy and play all the time. He doesn’t do well with queues from other dogs though so the only thing he should avoid is a home with a cranky dog as he doesn’t know when to leave them alone. He does great on a leash and is very treat motivated! He can sit and we’re working on down. He honestly will make a perfect dog for anyone! Charley did come to us heartwom positive and has gone through treatment, he will be off of activity restrictions mid June. Approximate Birthdate:  Feb 2024 Adoption Fee: $250 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Adoption Process
Those interested in adopting must fill out an online application, we then schedule an initial meeting with them and the animal, followed by a home visit. An adoption contract is required and the adoption fees range from $65 to $250.
