Meet Neutron

Hi there, I'm Neutron! I'm just a puppy, but I've got a whole lot of love to give. I'm the cuddly, friendly type who's always curious about the world around me.  I've got a big heart to match my big ole' head, and I'm looking for a family who will love me just as much as I'll love them. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will always be there to greet you with a wagging tail and a happy face, then I'm your guy! Neutron has a condition called Hydrocephalus, which is an excess of CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) that has leaked inside the skull, leading to brain swelling (which is why he has a big head). At this point, it does not seem to affect him other than making him stumble a little bit. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Please DO NOT CALL to ask about me. The staff at PCHS is small and there is a place on our short application form for questions or you can email questions to [email protected] County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
