Meet ROXY

Roxy had FHO surgery at HSMO. This surgery is usually done after an animal has been injured by a motor vehicle and sustained a significant hip injury. The animal will take 4-12 weeks to recover. Some animals will have a slight limp, others will exercise normally. All animals will develop arthritis in the affected hip. This will cause the pet to need prescription pain medication in the future. Keeping the pet's weight normal helps to decrease the problem. The adopter will be responsible for any future medical expenses. Roxy is also available thru our Foster to Adopt Program. Scheduled therapy appointments, long walks, and exercise will be required for her to recover from her surgery. Additionally, Roxy will do best as the only dog in the home. Please contact or visit our Maryland Heights location for more informaton.
