Meet Benjamin

Benjamin, and his sisters Bella Marie and Bella Grace are precious Jack Russell mixes who were born in mid February after their mother, Bella, was found as a stray. Poor Bella was discovered in an area in rural Mississippi known for dumping dogs, fortunately Wags took her in, but when sweet Bella was brought to the vet to be spayed, it was discovered she was pregnant, likely why she was dumped by her owners.    Bella had her puppies at the rescue and has been a wonderful mama to them! They love to run and play and then snuggle up together in a puppy pile to nap. They are doing well house training, but like any puppies they will need to refresher course as they adjust to a new home. Bella is definitely a Jack Russell mix, she’s about 15 pounds. We don’t know who the dad is but we imagine that Bella’s puppies were all under 20 pounds.   Bella’s pups are awaiting one more vaccination and then they are ready to journey to the northeast, they can either be spayed and neutered in Mississippi soon or else if an adopter wishes to wait, the pups can be spayed and neutered in the northeast. Wags has several clinics we use and the rescue will pay for the procedure. If an adopter prefers to spay and neuter with their own vet we will reimburse what we pay at our clinic.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter. Most of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. We do have some of our dogs in foster homes in the northeast, we always need foster homes! For more information on adopting any of our Wags dogs please email [email protected]

Adoption Process
we have an adoption application and require a deposit while we check references, we do home visits or ask for videos, and FaceTime if we’re not able to get to the home.
