Meet Mina
The face that melts any heart within it's reach! Mina is just a precious and smart little girl who's going to grow into a large, strong and beautiful lady. Mina was pulled from a local high kill shelter where she had been taken as a stray as a little puppy. Filthy, malnourished and terrified, she has blossomed in foster care. She is so smart, with a little patience, she just soaks up all you have to teach. She already knows several basic commands, is kennel trained and get this....only had 1 potty accident in the house! That's remarkable for such a young puppy. We don't really have a good grasp on her breed, but suspect Mina will be a fairly large dog = at least over 40lbs. Being so smart, she will need someone who can give her lots of intellectual and physical stimulation. She will not do well as a couch potato or a neglected dog. If you're not willing and dedicated in putting the work in she and you will be very unhappy. Mina is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. She is on heartworm preventative. To submit an application on her go here: http://desotoanimalrescue.org/dog-adoption-application.html or call 662-342-9448 for more info.
Adoption Process
We are not a shelter with a facility where you can visit our pets. All rescued pets live in our own homes, where they are evaluated and cared for until they find their ideal adoptive family. We do our best to to make the best match for pet and new family. We carefully screen prospective homes and require all applicants to go through an adoption application process. Everyone who wishes to adopt an animal must fill out a pre-adoption survey. Once it is approved, we will review the contract with you to ensure that the animal will be cared for appropriately.
Standard Donations for adoptions are $125 for Dogs and $75 for Cats. Donations cover up to date shots, spay/neuter, heart worm screening and treatment, feline AIDS and leukemia tests and other veterinary care.
