Shorty

Friends of the Delta Dawg

Our organizations is primarily focused on spaying and neutering homeless and "in need animals" in our community. However, our city government shut down all parts of Animal Control in January 2024 and we assumed the responsibility of multiple dogs still in their care. All animals are currently in foster homes and we are working diligently to find forever homes for them.

Meet Shorty

Shorty is 1 year old. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, heart worm negative, on flea/tick and hw preventatives. Shorty was rescued by our former AC officer, Beth, almost a year ago when he was just a pup. He has been with her since. Beth has grown very found of Shorty but knows he needs a home of his own. Beth reports Shorty is very active and would love kids to play with outside and run! He has some beagle so his nose is down to the ground looking a lot. Shorty can be a little mouthy and he likes to bark when others bark so no one can show up unannounced. He also loves being lap dog. Shorty is not crate trained and has had full run of the house. He is house trained but still has accidents if his signal to go out is missed.

Adoption Process
Completion of adoptions application and contract. $200 adoption fee for approved adopters and vet reference check. Required spay/neuter of all animals.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
