Meet *PETE

Pete is a 1.5-year-old, 62lb brindle and white Pit Bull Terrier with a heart full of potential, just waiting for the right person to help him unlock it. Pete arrived at the shelter on April 4, and though he’s a bit undersocialized, he’s eager to learn and find his place in the world.Pete can get overstimulated quickly, which leads to some jumpy and mouthy behaviors. He’ll need an experienced adopter who has the patience to help him navigate the world and find some calm. With time, structure, and consistent training, Pete will become the loyal, affectionate companion he’s meant to be.What Pete Needs:An experienced, patient adopter who understands shy dogsHelp with socialization and calmness training (he’s still learning to manage his excitement)A quiet home with consistent structure and trainingA person willing to invest time and energy into helping Pete become the best version of himselfPete has a lot of love to give once he feels comfortable, and with the right guidance, he will be a wonderful addition to a family who is ready to help him grow and thrive.Could you be the experienced, patient person Pete has been waiting for?
