If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Riddle me this: poodle or Bichon Frise? Could be both, but who cares when I'm a 10-12-pound bundle of joy, love, and snuggles. Being with my human is the highlight of my day, aside from eating, doing zoomies, and busting a move on my hind legs for treats. Here's more about me, aside from my irresistible cuteness. Potty training is going paw-some on a schedule, and I'm loving my new buddies at my foster home – they're around my size, and we have a blast together. Even the cats are tolerating me now that we've sniffed each other out, and we've come to a truce: we both know the humans are the real prize. I live for attention and pets, so if you've got a spare hand, it better be petting me. I'm a total couch potato, so I'll happily snooze next to you. Don't leave me alone for too long, or I might get a little vocal – but outside, like to bark at the neighbors and running like the wind. Kennels are so not my thing, so now I've got free rein of the house, and I've been a total gentleman (no broken vases or eaten shoes). Maybe small kids aren't the best match for me right now, since I can get a little mouthy – but I'm a smart cookie, and I'll learn the ropes from you. I'd love a buddy to play with, but it's not a deal breaker. I'd also love a fenced yard so I can run and do some zoomies! So that's me in a nutshell – silly little Riddle, hoping to see you soon. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
Adoption Process
Adoption applications must be completed, which include information regarding references and vet clinic information, DL #, names, etc. Reference checks are conducted and when necessary vetting information verified. Discussion about the animal interested in to best assure appropriate and proper placement is made, and educational information regarding how to manage a multi-dog/animal household, slow and proper introductions and the importance of a shut-down period to help the animal acclimate to new surroundings. A "meet and greet" with the animal is required and whenever possible all residents of the household should be present. Home checks may, but not always, be necessary. After adoption applications is approved a contract is required, where we also stipulate that if for any reason the adopter determines they no longer want or can care for the animal we require it be returned to us, with the exception of documented bite history or potentially dangerous or dangerous dog designations. Adoption fees vary, but are comparable to or less than other local rescues and typically are $300 or less for a canine and $150 for a feline.
