$150.00Coralie is a 2 month old border collie/rat terrier mix puppy who came to the shelter with her two siblings as an owner surrender. She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly to become a playful, typical puppy. She will be ready for a new home once she has received two of her three distemper/parvo combo vaccinations. Her fee of $150 covers all of her basic vet work which will be coordinated by us. This includes her three distemper/parvo vaccinations, microchip, rabies vaccination when old enough, and spay surgery when old enough. Coralie is a mix of two active, intelligent breeds. She will require basic training in all areas and a lot of regular exercise as she matures. She should be highly trainable. She should be okay with other dogs and is young enough to learn to behave with cats. Older kids should be okay but keep in mind that she could have some herding instincts as she grows. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
Adoption Process
Starts with written Application form which includes questions regarding housing situation (rent/own etc. renters require landlord approval), History of previous or current pets, Vet information, Animal housing information (cats must be indoors, dogs fenced yard etc.). Fees for Cat Adoptions are $50 (or $75 for two) Dogs vary based on breed, size, etc. Average is $125.
