*This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Hi there, my name is Eddie and I’m so excited to introduce myself! I am new to my foster home so keep checking back for updates on my progress. I may be considered a senior dog but I still have a zest for life! I enjoy exploring the outdoors, playing with toys, and a slow stroll with my person. If you’re looking for a loving companion then no need to look any further. I like to follow you around to make sure I’m not missing anything, and I love to snuggle next to you on the couch. I am a friendly guy who gets along well with the 4 other dogs in my foster home. I have no reactivity to the neighbor dogs on the other side of the fence or along our walks! I am not a barker at all; I will whimper a little when you first put me in my kennel at night but I settle down quickly. I’d do great living in an apartment because I’m a quiet guy. I go up and down carpeted stairs without difficulty but hardwood stairs are not my jam! Being a mature dude I do have some weakness in my backend, but I don’t let that stop me. My foster mom believes that with some good daily activity we can build up my strength and endurance. I’m sure you may have noticed the marks on my forehead; I am waiting to see the vet team to check them out. Not much is known about my past. So please check back again and I’ll be sure to give you any updates from the vet and my foster parents. Love, Eddie Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and rec ommendations to keep your senior dog in top shape. Eddie is from a local impound . If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
