Across America Boxer Rescue

Our Rescue is an all volunteer effort to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home unwanted and abandoned Boxer dogs. When Boxers are in need, Across America Boxer Rescue's dedicated volunteers respond. Our mission includes hands-on rescue, as well as education. Our rescue is dedicated in helping as many Boxers that have had a very "ruff" start for whatever reason. All Boxers that come into our rescue will be examined by our vet, brought up to date on vaccines, heart worm tested, (placed on heart worm preventive medication) and fecal tested, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We will evaluate each Boxer's personality and temperament, so they can be placed in the best home suited for them.

Meet Roxie - IN TRAINING/MOVING TO HER FOSTER SOON!!

This beautiful brindle girl had been on her own for a while when a good samaritan found her and brought her home and looked for rescue help for her. Roxie had been running with two big dogs and recently spent some time hanging around a facility for mentally disabled adults where she was fed and taken care of and loved very much and she loved them as well. She was around small dogs at her temporary foster home and did great. She loves, loves, loves people and is FULL of kisses for everyone. Roxie got all caught up on her routine vetting and she is spayed and microchipped. She is on her way to her Wisconsin foster home and we will check back in soon with updates and more pictures of this gorgeous girl!3/3 UPDATE: Roxie has had some nervousness and uncertainty when meeting new dog friends so she has moved to Prestige Pets for some training and socialization. She is absolutely incredible with all people. She crates up like a dream! We will update soon on her progress.4/22 TRAINING UPDATE:  Roxie is doing fantastic with her training.  She has been loose (while highly supervised) with male dogs and does great.  They walk them together prior then bring them back in to play together. From Kelly:  Male dogs she does very well with, females is hit and miss. She is roommates with 3 male pups currently, one being (our) Drago, and the other two are Pete and Dutch.  We can walk her down our training room no reaction except with one female dog.
