Across America Boxer Rescue

Our Rescue is an all volunteer effort to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home unwanted and abandoned Boxer dogs. When Boxers are in need, Across America Boxer Rescue's dedicated volunteers respond. Our mission includes hands-on rescue, as well as education. Our rescue is dedicated in helping as many Boxers that have had a very "ruff" start for whatever reason. All Boxers that come into our rescue will be examined by our vet, brought up to date on vaccines, heart worm tested, (placed on heart worm preventive medication) and fecal tested, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We will evaluate each Boxer's personality and temperament, so they can be placed in the best home suited for them.

Meet Miah - ADOPTION PENDING!!!

Miah and her sister Izzy found themselves in need of a new home.  With a foster offer for Miah, we were able to bring her into the rescue, but not before a disagreement between the girls occurred and both received some wounds on their ears, legs and heads.  Miah is in her Kentucky foster home and will be getting seen by the vet for her wounds and to get her caught up on her routine vetting.  She is already spayed.  We are desperately trying to find a foster home for Izzy, please contact us at [email protected] if you are interested in fostering her.  We know that Miah will crate up but might whine a little.  She is housebroken. She is good with kids for sure and for now we would say good with male dogs.  Of the two girls, she is the more mellow one. We will post more info on Miah as we get to know her.4/2 UPDATE...Miah arrived at her Wisconsin foster home and is working on decompressing and settling in.  In no fault of her own, Miah has been moved around quite a bit in a short amount of time after coming for a bad situation and she is struggling at little bit to feel safe and secure.  Due to her previous issues with her female sibling in her previous home and with issues with a resident older female Boxer in a previous foster home (Miah was not the aggressor), we feel she would do best in a home with no other female dogs.  Miah is a beautiful, energetic, girl who loves people and is fantastic riding in the car.  She will crate up with some coaxing and she is completely housebroken.  She does pull some on the leash and foster mom has started working on that with her. She is just the sweetest girl!
