Meet Oscar, a sweet and loving boy who is looking for his forever home! Oscar is a loyal companion who will fill your life with affection and joy. Sadly, his elderly owner had to be moved to the hospital and can no longer care for him, leaving Oscar searching for a new family to love. Having spent most of his life with his previous owner and another small dog, Oscar is adjusting to a new environment and will need a patient, understanding adopter. But once he feels comfortable, he is a true hugger—he’ll wrap his little legs around you in a full-on cuddle! Oscar loves to be outside for potty time and enjoys exploring his surroundings. He’s also a fan of chasing around with his doggy pals, making him a great playmate for other gentle dogs. Oscar thrives in a calm, quiet setting where he can curl up next to you and enjoy some peaceful cuddle time. He’s a gentle soul, eager to please and build trust with those around him. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate dog who will adore you, Oscar is the one for you! With a little time, patience, and love, he'll make a wonderful addition to your home. Oscar is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 05/30/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30 am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
