Novymber is from Texas. She was born in a hay barn there, to a pregnant mother that had been dumped less than a month before. Animal control stepped in to help trap mom and the puppies. The owner of the hay barn adopted the mom after she was spayed.. the puppies?? Covered in fleas and a bit underweight. However, after the puppies received age appropriate veterinary care and proper nutrition they are just thriving, so now it's time to find them homes of their very own. November is the calmest of the 3 puppies that were rescued. She takes a second to warm up to new people, but after she knows you're one of the "good guys" she can't crawl in your lap fast enough! November is not yet potty trained, but what young puppy is? Potty training a puppy is all about timing and consistency. right away in the morning when your pup wakes up.. out to potty. back inside to eat and play a little bit.. 20-30 minutes later a longer (no playing) potty trip outside to do their business.. food in/poop out.. lol. repeat in the evening. You get the routine. once you know your pup's "tells" it will all be second nature. Novymber is also not crate trained, as she has been kept in an exercise pen along with her siblings. Crate training is very beneficial to your pup to potty train, and just gives them a place to go when they're unsure about anything going on in the household.. it's their safe space, not a punishment. Novymber is a sweet and food motivated pup. She's a solid little chunk of a pup. She loves to play-play-play and then just falls asleep right where she is. He's looking for a family that will love her unconditionally. A family that will let her up on the couches to snuggle while you watch a movie, and maybe share your snack.. lol. If you think that She's the one for you, please fill out an adoption application today! She just can't wait to meet you! They arrive in Minnesota on 05/30/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8;30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.* If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
