If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Hello, my name is Bette! I’m posting here because I am now accepting applications for my adoptive person/family! There is only one application that will be hired on for the position so I’m here to tell you a little about myself so I can find the ideal fit. Great pay and benefits (the pay and benefits are my love and blessing you with my adorable face and personality daily). I know my perfect, freckle faced head shot is what drew you in but I’m more than just my good looks so let’s get into it!I am about 10 months old and likely some sort of Great Pyrenees mix. In case you didn’t know, that means I’m a big girl! My foster parents keep saying I have a big booty which seems a little rude to me but they also keep saying how adorable it is so it must be a good thing. It’s important to keep in mind that I’m a big girl but I’m also still a puppy! I LOVE to play with other dogs. I’m a bit intimidating and a little rough because of my size but it’s all in fun. My foster parents have other dogs here and I’m good with all of them, no matter how small or big they are but I really love to play and wrestle so a dog that can match my energy would be best, so I don’t annoy them! There are some old, lazy dogs here that have got mad at me for trying to play with them. It’s not my fault they are boring! The audacity!I really enjoy being outside, playing with other dogs, playing ball and attempting to set records on the fastest destruction of toys! Foster mom is reading this post over my shoulder *eye roll* and wants me to mention that I haven’t had any accidents in the house since I’ve been here. She says it’s impressive because she always expects accidents to happen when adjusting to a new home and schedule. There is a fenced in yard where I’m staying, and I love sniffing and running around in it but it’s not a requirement if you promise to do lots of things with me to burn off my puppy energy. I walk great on a leash, too!Ok, I have one confession for you. I can’t actually read, or type (people fib about being proficient in Excel all the time so I figured I could get away with a fib too) so foster mom helped me with all of this, but she promises she’ll read all incoming applications to me so we can find my forever home! She keeps telling me that I’m the sweetest girl who deserves the best! Get your applications in quick because I’m assuming the position will fill fast. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
Adoption Process
Adoption applications must be completed, which include information regarding references and vet clinic information, DL #, names, etc. Reference checks are conducted and when necessary vetting information verified. Discussion about the animal interested in to best assure appropriate and proper placement is made, and educational information regarding how to manage a multi-dog/animal household, slow and proper introductions and the importance of a shut-down period to help the animal acclimate to new surroundings. A "meet and greet" with the animal is required and whenever possible all residents of the household should be present. Home checks may, but not always, be necessary. After adoption applications is approved a contract is required, where we also stipulate that if for any reason the adopter determines they no longer want or can care for the animal we require it be returned to us, with the exception of documented bite history or potentially dangerous or dangerous dog designations. Adoption fees vary, but are comparable to or less than other local rescues and typically are $300 or less for a canine and $150 for a feline.
