Meet Tabitha
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org.Hi everyone, my name is TabithaI am a snuggle bug, lap dog who loves all your attention (your lap will be my happy place).I will follow you around the house as you go throughout your day assisting you in anyway that I can! Let me tell you a little bit about myself and if you have any questions feel free to fill out an application for me and I would be more than happy to get you answers! My hair is short right now but I do have beautiful long hair. I was having very bad hair days with mats so I had to have a hair cut.Likes:Crinkle toys... I just love playing with them with my people.Adult people- I have met both men and women and as long as you have a scratch or lap for me we will be best friends! I have met older respecful children and I love them as long as they can respect my boundries.Having (human) company- I get sad when I am alone and just enjoy having someone with me. So I would prefer to have someone who is home more often than not.Outdoors- I am learning about grass and all of the wonderful smells. I think it is great.Dislikes:Crates- I do eventually settle down once I am in a crate but again I love my people so much I would rather be with you! My foster mom lets me roam when she leaves and I have been the best.Things just to know about me:I am a shy girl so it takes me a little time to warm up to other dogs. I need slow introductions to be comfortable, In fact I would not mind being your only dog.I am potty trained to do my business outside.I am pretty darn smart, if I do say so myself, even my foster mom agrees! If you think that I would fit in your lap or have a place in the car with you please fill out an application!Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
Adoption Process
Adoption applications must be completed, which include information regarding references and vet clinic information, DL #, names, etc. Reference checks are conducted and when necessary vetting information verified. Discussion about the animal interested in to best assure appropriate and proper placement is made, and educational information regarding how to manage a multi-dog/animal household, slow and proper introductions and the importance of a shut-down period to help the animal acclimate to new surroundings. A "meet and greet" with the animal is required and whenever possible all residents of the household should be present. Home checks may, but not always, be necessary. After adoption applications is approved a contract is required, where we also stipulate that if for any reason the adopter determines they no longer want or can care for the animal we require it be returned to us, with the exception of documented bite history or potentially dangerous or dangerous dog designations. Adoption fees vary, but are comparable to or less than other local rescues and typically are $300 or less for a canine and $150 for a feline.
