Meet Milton *Arriving 5/30*

Milton came from a rough hoarding situation where he was kept crated most of the time, and it’s nothing short of incredible how loving and joyful he is despite it. He’s playful, sweet, full of personality, and absolutely lives to be near his person. Whether it’s tagging along to the grocery store, begging for treats with his signature little dance (he stands on his back legs and flaps his front paws—it's something you truly have to see), or sleeping belly-up with his tongue sticking out, Milton is just endlessly entertaining. His background and poor breeding left him with a slightly crooked jaw and some missing teeth, which only adds to his charm. His little tongue is almost always peeking out, and his goofy grin is impossible not to love. He’ll high-five you, play with toys like a puppy, and bring real joy into your home. Milton does have a few needs—he's still working on potty training, and belly bands are helpful for now. He also has some separation anxiety and will bark when left alone, so it’s best to crate him or leave the blinds open so he can watch the world go by while you’re gone. He would do best with someone who’s around often and has the time and patience to help him continue adjusting to life as a beloved pet. He’s been through a lot, but he meets every day with curiosity and joy. Milton isn’t just cute—he’s one of those dogs that finds his way deep into your heart. Milton is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 05/30/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.  Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
