Say hello to TJ, a pint-sized charmer with a big heart and a story to tell! This sweet small-breed mix is learning to embrace his new life with wagging enthusiasm. TJ’s a bit shy around new faces—especially men—but give him a little time, and he’ll be cuddling up on your lap like a pro (just ask his foster grandpa!). He’s been practicing his doggy manners with his foster sister, Naali, a German Shepherd mix, and is starting to get the hang of playtime, rolling over with a curious grin. TJ loves chasing his foster cat, Guy, but he’d do best with a playful feline or a cat-free home to avoid any mismatches. Kids? He hasn’t met any yet, but older, gentle ones could be a great fit for a meet-and-greet. TJ’s working hard on potty training, making strides with peeing outside (complete with cheers and treats!) while wearing a belly band indoors. Pooping is still a work in progress—he needs patience and a warm spot to do his business, as the cold isn’t his favorite. Fully vetted and ready for love, TJ dreams of a patient, loving family who’ll help him build confidence and continue his training. Apply today and see if TJ’s your new best friend! Visitors to the shelter are by appointment only and after a form has been submitted online: https://www.marshmallowfoundation.org/forms/
Adoption Process
Marshmallow Animal Shelter wants to make certain that every animal adopted goes to a loving home where it will be well cared. Because of this, our application asks a number of detailed questions, which are necessary for our screening process. Our application will ask you to what lengths you are willing to go, in order to accommodate the animal's needs and training. You must be able to show commitment of time, finances, energy and compassion to the animal.
Once your application is approved, we require that you sign a contract guaranteeing non-transferal/sale of animal, its proper care, and spay/neuter surgery if not already done.
